Ewe Creek Projects

Back to: Ewe Creek, Home

May 2012

We wanted to have access to our well water during power fails, so we bought a generator which worked fine, except for the need to keep fresh gasoline in the tank.  This project converted the genarator to run on propane, which has a shelf life of amost forever.

Before

September 2009

We finally decided that we just had to replace our back deck and, better yet, we also decided not to do it ourselves, so this deck project consists mostly of just watching -- and of course, paying.

After
Hobby room

June 2009

The hobby room project took almost two years to finish up, but now it seems like a dream come true.

Road over creek

April 2008

I decided to do a little road building so I would be able to cross the creek during the rainy season.

Bathroom fix-up

January 2008

We decided to do a little cosmetic surgery on our master bedroom bathroom.

Here are the "before" and "after" pictures.

Car port beam

August 2007

The beam project was to repair the rotting beam and post without having the carport roof fall down.

Front fountain

June 2007

The front forest fountain now has water and electricity and serves nicely as a drinking pool for the deer and as a birdbath.

Back hoe

December 2006

Still working on thinning out and cleaning up the forest area behind the back yard, but a new tractor provides a little more muscle now.

Imaginary waterfall

May, 2006

We just got to wondering one day, "Wouldn't it be nice if we had a waterfall or maybe a creek out in the backyard?"

Our waterfall
Lawn extension

April, 2006

Following a great plan to reduce the amount of our yard maintenance, we embarked on a renovation of the west garden area, replacing many many shrubs, bushes and flowers by simply extending the lawn.

Back fountain

July 4, 2005

We took out some bushes and it seemed like something should be there to fill in the empty space, so we decided to start with a fountain.

Target range

Winter 2004 - Spring 2005

Almost done with this little target range project.

Pickup shell

June 16, 2005

I decided my pickup shell needed a place to be, other than on the floor. Some steel cable, strong pulleys and a boat trailer wench did the job. This was only sort of an outdoor project, being in the barn.

Boat winch
Garage tree

May 2005 - June 2005

We decided to finish the yard by fixing the garage wall and filling the big hole in the front driveway with a raised planter containing a tree and some flowers, finally concluding our Front Yard Project.

Raised garden

April 2005

One more little raised bed out in the garden. Hopefully, this one will produce some strawberries.
