Fountain

July 2005

The green bushes in the left foreground were too much, so we pulled them out.

Then we decided that a fountain would be a good center point for the blank space we had created, so we hauled one in and started setting it up. The bottom piece weighed about 300 lbs.

It is together and working now, set for subdued trickling rather than a high spray.

A little stone work and raised flower areas complete the construction.  All that's left is a new rose bush and a little more cleanup and it will be done.

Once the backyard waterfall was installed, we decided that the fountain didn't look right anymore, so we moved it to the front forest where it sat till we finally connected it to water and electricity. Now in addition to the look and sound, it also serves double duty as a deer drinking pool and bird bath.
