This is a "way before" view, as the garage looked when we first
saw it.

First two projects were to remove the front fence and to paint the whole house.
Not too much later we started taking out the deck ramp.
With the deck ramp gone, we put in a new walkway.
Removing a big block of concrete we found under the ramp left us with a big
hole in the driveway.

This is the "before planter" picture, though taken just after we
started removing the old siding.
Next is new siding, then the planter construction begins.

We needed to beef up the foundation a bit before starting on the new siding.

We used a bunch of "County Cottage" shaped stones to build the planter
walls.

It got a little hot the day we started placing the stones.

As soon as the back wall was high enough, we added some new soil
and the Hoopsii Blue Spruce, with a little mechanical help for the lifting.

With the new siding installed and a fresh coat of paint,
you wouldn't even know we did anything to the garage, unless you saw the "before"
pictures.
The new planter is now done, which finally completes our front yard upgrade.
