Lake Pleasant Regional Park , AZ

Arizona 2007, Trips, Home

February 2007:

The campsites are nicely separated and we were able to pull in with a direct overview of the lake.

It's a short walk down to the lake. That's us in the upper left camp site.

The view to the west was an arm of the lake tucked between the two hills.

Had to get a picture with the Saguaro cactus posing.

The ducks came to see if there were any snacks, then kept their distance.

Might have to get a hold of some sort of boat, should we return for a longer stay someday.

This Saguaro branch was just a couple of feet from our front window.

This was a nice shot and I had high hopes of it also making a great sunset photo.

The lake is rigged with high wind warning lights, but it was smooth sailing while we were there.

As evening approached we were presented with some slow motion entertainment.

Well, maybe there will be more clouds and a better sunset tomorrow.

Tomorrow did the best it could given the cloud cover it had to work with.

Without the clouds, the park offers a great view of the night sky.
