We stayed here in 2007 and though the park still looks the same, the Wi-Fi seems to be much improved.
Superstition Saloon, Tortilla Flat, AZ.

We drove up near the Superstition Mountains and stopped for lunch at Tortilla Flat's Superstition Saloon.

We passed up the opportunity to saddle up to the bar for lunch --

and chose a table instead, with a close view of their wallpaper money decor.

The walls are covered with dollar bills by the thousands.

They have a little market in the adjacent room, which continued the wallpaper money tradition.

There was a tiny museum which showed some of the history, including this piece.
Canyon Lake, AZ

We then went to Canyon Lake,

and took the Dolly Steamboat tour of what seems like a "mini" Grand Cannon. The boat was very quiet and smooth and it seemed as if we were just drifting down the river, which made for a very interesting, and relaxing trip. Though it became a little tempting, I did manage the whole tour without napping.

Much of the river is bordered by compressed volcanic ash rock formations such as this, the majority of which are too high and too close up to be able to photograph without having a wider lens and a personal boat. The tour provided a continuous stream of "up close and personal" views.
