Patagonia Lake is a small little man made lake in the high Arizona southern desert near Nogales. This campsite has a slight view of the lake which was perhaps 100 yards down a hill full of trees behind our RV.

It was finally warm enough that I had to trade my long pants for shorts before going exploring. It was an easy stroll to the lakeshore where I took this shot.

A quiet slow walk along the shoreline the next day with my telephoto lens allowed me to get up close to a couple of American Coots.

The visitor center has numerous bird pictures and keeps a list of all the different varieties of birds and when they were last spotted. This seems to be a place well fitted for bird watching so, even though we aren't active birders, we still went for a morning hike to see what kind of wildlife we could find. Except for just a few birds here and there, this old cow and a few others provided our wildlife experience for the day.

Arizona seems to often have nice sunsets, or perhaps it's just that those who live in the southern Oregon forests with trees and mountains blocking the wide open view, tend to forget how nice the sunsets look.
