Picacho Peak State Park was on our list of places to try out some day, so we decided to stop there.

Seems pretty barren and isolated, but the park had added full electrical hookups since we were there last, but that's all you get other than an interesting place to stay, though they do have water and a dump station nearby.

You know you're in the desert when the saguaro cactus start showing up.

We had Picacho Peak behind us and this view of the desert stretching out before us.

It was quiet in the campground and we fell asleep to the sounds of the numerous trains in the distance.

We returned here to spend a few more days, selecting the same site as we had before and finding everything still the same -- except warmer this time.
