The campground and nearby golf course are surrounded by canyon rock walls and are next to an even deeper canyon with Crooked River at the very bottom.
The campground offers a great view of the canyon walls.
It's just very short walk to look over the edge into the inner canyon.
There is a viewing platform just a touch beyond the canyon's edge.
Some rather aggressive sheep chase the deer out of the back loop whenever they come to feed. I would have a closer picture but they also chased me out when I came too close.
