Trips, Home

August 2010
Lake view
We had a nice enough spot, though we did end up directly under an old oak tree, which
seemed to be dropping acorns -- directly on our roof, making considerable noise.

It was a pleasant time and we got in some nice walks. There are nice lake views but the water is not
easily accessable from the campground.  We discovered that they have blackberry bushes around and
we managed to pick a couple buckets of them, to be put to good use later.

August 2006

Only a moderate number of campers midweek but every site is reserved for the weekend.
Temperatures were in the 90's but with fairly cool nights.

The campground is on Lost Creek Lake (a reservoir).

This is a view near the dam on the Southwest end.

There is a fish hatchery just below the dam.

August 2006

Pearsony Falls is a few miles away and just a short easy walk.

August 2006

This was a pretty little side shoot next to the main fall.

March 2005

In March there were only a few other campers. It rained every night but was pleasant during the daytime.
The lakeshore was steep and rocky but there are a few places with better access if you hike for a mile or two.
