The first project was to create a good solid place to work on
more projects. I had saved the old redwood planks when we removed the front
deck ramp and now used them to provide the bench fraiming. The top is two
laminated pieces of 3/4" plywood with a hardboard cap, framed in pine.
It is somewhat rustic and utilitarian but just right to get started and should
I ever produce a woodworker's bench for the shop, then this one will migrate
to the barn, providing a perfect workplace out there.
